Materials:

solid maple and maple veneer, black stained feet, the chairs upholstered and covered with textile fabric

Size Notes:

table: height: 70 cm; armchair: 75 x 70 x 70 cm, height of seat 47 cm.

Provenance:

from a prominent private collection in Vienna, until 2014; purchased in the early 1960s by the Viennese gallery owner Kurt Kalb. According to Kurt Kalb, the furnishings originally came from a room in a palace in Viennas Metternichgasse that was decorated by leading artists of the Vienna Secession between 1905 and 1910, including, among others, Josef Hoffmann and Kolo Moser.
