A mirrored table and an armchair
Materials:
solid maple and maple veneer, black stained feet and frame, glass top, swivelling mirror, brass fittings
Size Notes:
chair: 81 x 61 x 52 cm.; height of seat 52 cm.
Provenance:
from a prominent private collection in Vienna, until 2014; purchased in the early 1960s by the Viennese gallery owner Kurt Kalb. According to Kurt Kalb, the furnishings originally came from a room in a palace in Viennas Metternichgasse that was decorated by leading artists of the Vienna Secession between 1905 and 1910, including, among others, Josef Hoffmann and Kolo Moser.
