Markings:

The edges of the sheet are uneven. The upper half of the right vertical edge appears to have been torn away, and this has been replaced with a similar section of paper, not visible in the current mount. The sheet undulates slightly, with some small soft creases, most apparent towards the upper horizontal edge. There are artist's pin holes in the corners. There are three small repaired tears to the sheet along the upper horizontal edge, and one to the bottom edge and a further small tear to the upper arm of the figure on the right. There is a small spot of staining to the bottom of the cloak on the figure to the right of the composition. A few nicks to the extreme edges of the sheet.
