Exhibited: "Get Lost", solo exhibition, ARoS Aarhus Kunstmuseum, Denmark 2011, ill. in the catalogue p. 166 and mentioned p. 204: "A giraffe sticks its head out through one of the museum walls, but there is something completely wrong. The giraffe has gilded antlers and is wearing a woolly hat. As the title 'African Reindeer' suggests, we are witness here to a cross between a giraffe and a reindeer - Africa meets the Arctic. According to Raddum, the sculpture depicts a giraffe attempting to take on a new, Nordic identity, but it is way off the mark. Thus, the sculpture deals with issues such as identity, immigration and foreignness. With his sculpture, Raddum also seems to be having a dig at the Norwegian sense of self and identity with immense humour. The giraffe head and its location on the wall are reminiscent of a hunting trophy, which would normally adorn the space above the mantelpiece at home. Through the sculpture's humorous, ironic expression, Raddum is distancing himself from the hunter's need to exhibit his strength".
