Provenance:
Collected by Mr Anton Staub, a Swiss National who worked as a mining engineer in Borneo and Sumatra. During WW2 he was evacuated via Darwin to Switzerland in 1941. It is believed this painting was acquired in Darwin at this time. Sotheby’s, Melbourne, 17 June 1996, lot 12. Private collection, Melbourne
