Her career later blossomed when she turned to painting on canvas, securing her first solo show at Gallery Gondwana in Sydney during 2009 and was selected as the best Western Australian artist in the Western Australian Indigenous Art Award of 2010 at the Art Gallery of Western Australia. ~~Born at Yungngora (Nookanbah) in the River Country the iconography within her gestural landscapes centre around the river banks and animals within the streams such as barramundi, bream and catfish. The artist's confident thick application of paint, building upon multiple layers, creates a movement within the composition reminscent of the flow of the mighty Fitzroy River after the rain.~~This painting is sold with accompanying Mangkaja Arts Resource Agency documentation.
