Condition:

The canvas exhibits a light ripple. particularly visible in the upper corners of the work. Wrinkles throughout the reverse of the canvas. There are three vertical repaired tears in the canvas, located the lower left corner, approximately 50mm from the canvas edge. The largest tear measures approximately 30mm long. Two horizontal unrepaired tears, in the lower quadrants, measuring approximately 40mm(lower right) and 60mm (lower left). Most of the tears are only visible upon close inspection on the recto. The horizontal tear in the lower left quadrant is noticeable from the recto. The paint surface exhibits separation/networks of craquelure throughout, with scattered cracks to the areas of heavy impasto towards the center of the canvas. Scattered stretcher marks on the edges. Inspection under UV light reveals no clear sign of restoration.
