Condition:

The work is in good condition. The canvas is slightly slack. There is minor rubbing to the extreme edges. There are drying cracks to the upper paint layer throughout, consistent with the artist's working method. There are some scattered surface accretions in places, primarily along the extreme edges, visible upon close inspection. There are a few small paint losses in places, most noticeably to the lower right horizontal edge and visible upon close inspection. There is a horizontal repaired tear with a corresponding patch on the reverse to the lower right quadrant, likely originating from the artist's studio. When examined under ultraviolet light, there is no indication of inpainting. The work is framed in a painted black wood frame.
