Oleg Kulik fait ainsi de ce bestiaire canin une mtaphore afin de dnoncer la condition et la place de lartiste dans la socit post-sovitique, et afin dinterroger les hommes, la manire de la tradition littraire russe. Oleg Kulik est notamment prsent dans les collections du Centre Pompidou., ?, ?Recognised as one of the most important Russian artists of his generation, Oleg Kulik explores the themes of anthropocentrism and the animality of the human being. His often radical works and extreme performances have regularly provoked controversy, such as that of the Man Dog in 1994. They also inspired the performance of the ape-man, one of the most striking scenes in the film The Square. Oleg Kulik uses this canine bestiary as a metaphor to denounce the condition and place of the artist in post-Soviet society, and to question men, in the manner of the Russian literary tradition. Oleg Kulik is notably present in the collections of the Centre Pompidou
