Condition:

The canvas is clean and presents beautifully to the naked eye. There is a somewhat stiff re-lining though it appears that the picture has not been restored in a number of years. Under UV light re-touches are visible in a 3 inch line across the sitters chest as well as in a couple of areas along the sitters cheek and the bridge of her nose. There are other scattered re-touches in the darks of the background as well as in the dark areas of her clothing. These re-touches have been applied well in the picture could very happily be hung in its current condition. In a carved and Guildwood frame
