The canvas is lined. There is a very small patch on the reverse that corresponds to a repaired puncture on the right thigh of the figure viewed from the back. Overall, the canvas and paint surface are stable and in good condition. The varnish is quite old and yellowed. Under UV light: old green varnish, covering possible old repairs. The varnish appears streaky at upper left quadrant. Old repairs on the arm and thigh of figure in foreground; retouches to the blue drapery on figure at bottom. Inpainting to figure viewed from the back on the repaired puncture and left shoulder.
