Condition:

Good condition, according to age, showing craquelure and minor abrasion. The inspection under UV light reveals several areas of retouching to the figure and the background. The frame is slightly worn, Gilt period frame

„Am häuslichen Herd“. Sonntagsblatt der Altenburger Zeitung, N°. 18, 28 April 1893, a copy of the article is present (with mention of a painting titled ‘Pandora‘ by Ludwig Doell, dated 1817)
