Provenance:

Ivan Paskevich-Erivanskii was a hero of the Napoleonic and Russo-Persian Wars 1826–1828 and his portrait by George Dawe is included among the heroes of the Napoleonic Wars in the Military Gallery of 1812 in the Winter Palace, Hermitage Museum, St. Petersburg. Paskevich-Erivanskii was named Viceroy of Poland in 1831, on 4 September 1831, he was made Prince of Warsaw and his coat of arms was changed to include the Polish eagle. The mirror was made in the very short period in between which Malcz opened his own workshop in 1828 and Paskevich-Erivanskii was elevated to Prince of Warsaw
