Condition:
Framed: a. 34.2 by 29cm., 13½ by 11?in. a. Executed on thick sheet of cream wove paper and hinged to the mount in two places along the upper edge. The lower edge is unevenly cut. There is some paper skinning to the composition with associated pigment loss in places on both the recto and the verso. There is some surface dirt, small surface accretions and light creasing consistent with age and handling. This work is in overall fairly good condition. b. Executed on cream wove paper adhered to a larger sheet of paper in one place on the upper edge, this larger sheet hinged to the window mount in two places along the upper edge. The upper and right edges are unevenly torn, the left and lower edges unevenly cut. There is a flattened vertical crease to the lower centre of the sheet. This work is in overall very good condition. c. Executed on white Japan paper and hinged to the mount in two places along the upper edge. The upper edge is unevenly torn and the other three edges unevenly cut. There are some faint flattened creases consistent with age and handling. There are tiny pinprick sized holes to the sheet possibly inherent, only visible upon very close inspection. There is some faint smudging to the horse's head possibly caused by the artist's process. There are remnants of an historic adhesive to the extreme upper edge. This work is in overall good condition.
