Initialed JS (ur), signed Joseph Solman, dated 1942, inscribed A. Walkowitz and 214 E 15th St/NYC on the reverse, inscribed this is my portrait of the well-known American painter, Abraham Walkowitz (from life) and signed Joe Solman on backing board

Condition:

Five losses along egdes, each approximately 1/8 x 1 inch. There are ridges runing horizontally across the bottom half of the painting. Wear at all four corners.
