Markings:

This group of four gelatin silver prints is in generally excellent condition. Each print is trimmed to the image and there is edge and corner wear. The reverse of each print is lightly soiled and the edges are age-darkened.

This group of four gelatin silver prints is in generally excellent condition. Each print is trimmed to the image and there is edge and corner wear. The reverse of each print is lightly soiled and the edges are age-darkened. 1. '566': On the reverse are two hinge remnants at the upper edge. It is annotated in an unidentified hand in pencil '566.' 2, '580': This print is signed in pencil on the image. There are deposits of original retouching near the upper right edge. On the reverse, it is also signed 'Lerski' and titled 'Verwandlungen' [transformations] in ink. It is annotated '580' in pencil. 3. '548': This print is signed in ink on the image .There are small deposits of original retouching scattered across the print. The reverse is titled 'Verwandlungen' in ink. It is annotated by an unidentified hand in pencil '548' and 'X' in blue crayon. 4. '523': There are small deposits of original retouching scattered across the print. The reverse is signed and titled 'Verwandlungen' in ink. It is annotated in an unidentified hand in pencil '523'; '541'; and 'ARK 060706.'
