The paint surface is stable, with only a few very small dots of loss near some of the edges, for example near top of right panel Inspection under UV reveals a varnish that fluoresces unevenly. There are scattered strokes of retouching throughout the angels and their hair, primarily concentrated in the red fabric of both angels' costumes. There are some spots of retouching in the instruments, and some looser strokes of strengthening to the clouds at the edges. Both panels offered framed.
