Sheet has been restored and archivally laid down to Japanese tissue with starch pasteof the same size; restoration to tears and loss along edges, most notably along bottom and an approx. 2 x 2 inch section of restoration including tear and loss to devil's ribs; possible vertical folding crease through center; light overall paper discoloration with scattered spots of more notable discoloration including tape residue along bottom edge; minor foxing

Theodore Bruce Auctions, July 27, 2014, lot 369; Acquired by the present owner from the above. The present work depicts the fall of the giant in the short story "The Rose Prince" by Bram Stoker. The illustration was published in an anthology of short stories by the author titled Under the Sunset, Sampson Low, Marston, Searle and Rivington, 1881.
