a fine, clear and dark impression of this rare and important print, Lewis's second state (of six), trimmed on or just inside the platemark but retaining a fillet of blank paper outside the subject, trimmed to the subject in places, some paper splits and made-up paper losses in the distant river landscape at centre right, several skilfully repaired tears, the upper right sheet corner made up, and other, smaller defects and repairs
