Condition:

The canvas is original. There are flecks of loss to the extreme vertical edges. There is some very slight rubbing to the extreme corners and in places along the edges. There are one or two very light scuffs and scratches, including to the extreme lower left corner. There is some surface dirt and studio matter in places. This excepting the work appears to be in very good overall condition. Inspection under ultra violet light reveals some historic retouchings in all four extreme corners, in places along the vertical edges and a small number of scattered and sensitively executed retouchings elsewhere.
