2 gelatin silver prints, comprising Tabriz, Azerbaijan and On the Loyalist Shankill Road, Belfast, Ireland, each signed and inscribed in ink on the reverse, framed, 1980-81 (2) Please note the colors and shades in the online catalogue illustration may vary depending on screen settings. Tabriz, Azerbaijan This photograph is in generally good condition. It is discolored and faded overall as evidenced by a thin band at the periphery of the image which was covered by an overmat. The discoloration is most apparent in the light areas in the upper portion of the image. When examined in raking light, faint silvering is visible in some of the darkest areas near the edges. There is a slight unevenness to the surface of the print, possibly glass offsetting. On the reverse, the inscription in ink reads: 'For Alice Get right with men!! Love Gilles Peress.' The print is attached to an overmat with 2 pieces of adhesive affixed to the reverse. On the Loyalist Shankill Road, Belfast, Ireland This photograph is in generally good to very good condition. When examined closely in raking light, a few tiny matte deposits are visible, possibly foxing, particularly along the lower edge. On the reverse, the inscription in ink reads: 'For Alice God protect me from their eyes.' The print is attached to an overmat with 2 pieces of adhesive affixed to the reverse.
