Condition:

Two of the prints are ferrotyped. As is typical of the ferrotyping process, an unevenness of the generally glossy surface and minor pitting are visible. The corners are bumped and there is edgewear. The edges of each print are slightly bowed upward. The reverses are soiled. Specific notes are as follows: Montmartre Balloon Ride: 8 ¾ by 6 ¼ in. (22.2 by 15.9 cm.). This print is in generally fair condition. It is soiled and scratched. The emulsion is lost at the lower left corner. There is a crease at the lower right corner. The typed label on the reverse reads: 'The big wheal [sic] with ballons carrying baskets place for two, at Montmartre.' There are adhesive remnants on the reverse, particularly along the upper edge. Cranes: 5 ¾ by 8 ¼ in. (14.6 by 21 cm.). This ferrotyped print is in generally good condition. There are tack holes near the upper left edge and lower corners. The reverse is signed and annotated in ink: 'Germaine Krull, Amsterdam - Paris'; 'Auf der Schiffer[___]'; and ‘Schönheit der [Teil___].' Looking upward through scaffolding: 9 ? by 6 ¼ in. (23.2 by 15.9 cm.). This ferrotyped print is in generally fair condition. There is a 3-1/2-inch tear in the upper left quadrant that has been repaired and possibly retouched. There are tack holes at each corner. The reverse is age-darkened at the edges. Scaffolding with stairs: 8 ¾ by 6 in. (22.2 by 15.2 cm.). This print is in generally good condition. The image is printed askew on the sheet. There are tack holes at each corner. The reverse is age-darkened at the edges. The lot is sold in the condition it is in at the time of sale.
