The canvas is wax lined and is securely attached to a keyed wooden stretcher with an additional loose lining. The paint surface is stable and clean. Inspection under ultra-violet light shows an even layer of varnish and some scattered strokes and spots of retouching in the sky, including a circa 20 by 5cm area nearer the centre of the sky, possibly addressing restoration. This work is in good condition and is ready to hang. Presented in a decorative gilt frame with a nameplate.
