Markings:

The canvas has been lined and is providing a strong and stable support to the paint surface. There is a horizontal surface abrasion, with some associated losses to the building on the far right, measuring approximately 3.5cm. There is some cracking to a vertical stretcher bar mark in the centre and to an upper horizontal stretcher bar mark. There is a vertical line of rubbing, to the left side, possibly from a previous frame. There are scattered areas of paint separation visible upon close inspection. There is surface dirt visible. Examination under ultraviolet light reveals a heavy opaque varnish that obscures further reading, although there is an area of retouching to the upper centre left framing edge and some spots below this to the extreme left framing edge, a spot to the sky and a spot to the upper right centre edge.
