signed and dated "David Salle 97" lower right; further signed "David Salle" on a label affixed to the reverse of the backing board

Condition:

The work is in very good condition. The sheet is hinged along the upper horizontal edge on the reverse to an archival rag mat. The edges are deckled. The sheet undulates slightly. There are artist's pinholes with associated minor creasing in the corners. There is a small surface accretion at center right, visible upon close inspection. There are some faint soft creases near the lower horizontal edge, visible under raking light. The work is framed under Plexiglas in a white stained wood frame.
