Condition:

Structure: The canvas appears original and unlined. The work is stretched and appears sturdy. Surface: Light warping and minor bumps to the canvas in the upper right hand, lower left hand corner and lower register of the work, visible in raking light. Some bumps appear to be contemporaneous to the creation of the work, i.e. artist has used light bump to create a dimple on the subject's yellow hat. On close inspection, there appear to be areas of minor paint loss and stretcher marks to the edges of the work. Light imprint of the stretcher bars in places on the work, visible on close inspection. On close inspection, there appear to be a light accumulation of dust where the artist has employed dark pigment. UV Report: Inspection under UV light reveals no clear signs of restoration or repair. Overall, the work is in very good and stable condition.
