Condition:

framed: 23½ by 33½ in.; 59.6 by 85 cm The canvas is wax lined. The paint surface is stable and in good condition. There is a notable pattern of pigment separation across the girl's face. Under UV light, the figure has been selectively cleaned and varnish fluoresces green; lines of retouching under the girl's chin, to the left of her right shoulder, and a horizontal area approximately 2 inches in length in her dress right of her elbow; areas of retouching beneath the bench at left.
