Condition:
The cradled panel is flat and even. There is a very small rectangular loss to the panel in the lower left corner, and a small pinhole in the lower right corner, with associated paint loss. There is a very tiny pinhole to the upper right, centre and left edge and some minor rubbing to the extreme upper framing edge. There are some fine lines of craquelure visible to the door and some minor specks of surface dirt. Examination under ultraviolet light reveals no apparent retouching however there is a very uneven layer of varnish that fluoresces in places. Otherwise the work appears in good condition, ready to hang. The lot is sold in the condition it is in at the time of sale.
