unframed: 121.2 x 92.4 cm.; 47¾ x 36? in. The canvas has a firm lining and the paint surface is clean with a clear and even varnish. The paint surface shows evidence of slight wear, notably in the darker pigments. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals a campaign of tiny spots and fine lines of retouching throughout the composition. These are sensitively executed. The painting presents well and is ready to hang.
