Signed lower left: Alec; Alec Monopoly resurrected the Monopoly Man, that icon from the classic pro-capitalist board game, shortly after the 2008 economic crash. He lends a critical edge to the character by casting him in the role of securities fraudster Bernie Madoff. In this work from two years later, Monopoly Man plays piano while the world burns.
