Condition:

This early print, on double-weight paper with a glossy surface, is in overall excellent condition. Upon close examination, there are some scattered deposits of retouching and diagonal hairline cracks in the emulsion in the lower right corner. There is a stray deposit of ink in the upper left margin corner. The following is on the reverse: several fingerprints; soiling; two tape hinge renmants at the upper right and left corners; and a nearly indiscernible white deposit, possibly ink, in the lower right corner that appears glossy in raking light. The following is written in pencil in an unidentified hand: 'Arch C. Weidemeyer / 1930 / Treffen von unten gesehen / Haus "Rocca Vispa" / Ascona'; 'ASCA 1'; '9 [circled];' '2'; 'X [circled]'.
