a fine impression of this rare print, trimmed on or just inside the platemark but retaining a fillet of blank paper outside the borderline, some minor brown staining at the sheet corners, generally in very good condition

Hans Freiherr von und zu Aufsess (1801-1872), Aufsess and Nuremberg (Lugt 5084); probably gifted to Germanisches Museum, Nuremberg, then sold as a duplicate, Max Perls, Berlin, 10-12 February 1913. A. J. Domela Nieuwenhuis (1850-1935), Amsterdam, Munich and Rotterdam; gifted to the below in 1923. Museum Boymans van Beuningen, Rotterdam (Lugt 356b); with their duplicate stamp (Lugt 700a).
