framed: 42½ by 37 in.; 107.9 by 93.9 cm The canvas is not lined. The paint surface is in overall good condition under a slightly soiled varnish. Fine craquelure throughout the sky and and water at left. Under UV light, spots of inpainting visible in water along bottom edge at left and right, also along left edge, likely to address slight frame abrasion; larger area of inpainting in the sky at upper right with corresponding patch to canvas reverse; small touches if inpainting to facade at left in arched windows, corresponds to repaired tear on canvas reverse.
