Materials:

Pen and brown ink and wash, over black chalk, squared for transfer in black chalk, and within brown ink framing lines

Measurements:

9.25 in. (23.50 cm.) (height) by 12.32 in. (31.30 cm.) (width)

Markings:

heightened with white (partly oxidised), bears inscription in brown ink

Condition:

Laid down on a backing sheet (probably 18th century), and then again onto a later mount. Lightly foxed and stained throughout, but still very legible. Sold in a modern frame.
