Resul Aytemür was born in Malatya in 1951. He graduated from the Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts in 1978. In 1990, he won first prize in the Second Painting Competition, which was organized by Turkish Jokey Club. In the same year, he received another first prize in the Tekel Traditional Painting Competition.
