Born in the Ukraine, where he lived up to 1999, the artist pursued a practical as well as a theoretical training in the various artistic disciplines at the university of Poltava. After his studies Lipchenko worked as an architect for residential as well as commercial projects. Later he focused completely on his art. He painted a couple of paintings in a very personal style with infuences of surrealism, symbolism and the Russian avant-garde from the ninteen-twenties and thirties. His painting technique still betrays a strong influence of his background in architecture.
