(Russian , b. 1958 )

Nadezhda Alexeeva-Blinova was born in Russia in 1958 and received a Masters of Fine Arts from Lenin’s Institute in Moscow. Actively involved in the art world of Russia, she is a member of the Moscow Union of Artists, the Union of Russian Artists, as well as the International Federation of Artists. Her artwork was featured in the catalogue of the International Art Fair of the 20th Century, Belgium Gent 1993. She lives and works in Moscow, Russia.

Considered a Russian Impressionist, Nadezhda paints with loose brush strokes that are reminiscent of early French pointillism. The warm and harmonious tones of her color palette generate a romantic sentiment that is almost nostalgic of the bygone epoch of the 19th century. Especially exquisite is her capacity to capture light, making the painting glow from within the bounds of the canvas. Depicting both the Russian cityscape and the countryside, landscapes dominate her oeuvre. …

Aleexeva-Blinova has participated in numerous exhibitions in Russia and abroad, and her works belong to public and private collections in Russia as well as in Europe. This is her first exhibition in the States.
