Chicago artist Lillian Desow-Fishbein could draw anything and did so in at least 120 countries as she and her magazine editor husband traveled the world to report on Jewish communities. She was a fine arts painter who exhibited in scores of shows, taught painting and drawing for decades, added lithography to her skills later in life, and was a labor activist and a Jewish feminist.
