http://www.felixosiemi.com/about.html Born in Lagos, Nigeria, Felix Osiemi received his Master of Fine Arts in Interdisciplinary Arts from Goddard College in Plainfield Vermont, USA. He also has an undergraduate diploma from Yaba College of Technology in Lagos Nigeria, and is the recipient of several honors and awards. For over twenty-seven years, Felix Osiemi has exhibited his works in private and public art galleries and museums in Africa, USA, and Europe. Osiemi’s works are on numerous corporate walls, museums, private and public collections in the United States of America, Africa, and other parts of the world. Felix Osiemi significantly contributed to the success of the distinguished Mural Arts Program in Philadelphia, with murals including, “Women of Jazz” in the Albert M. Greenfield African American Iconic Images Collection 2011. The Albert M. Greenfield African American Iconic Images Collection was awarded 2 prizes: Gold Prize - Audio Guides and Podcast, and Silver Prize - Online Presence (Website) for best of the best of 2012 in museum work by the American Association of Museums. Felix Osiemi has appeared in several mass media including featured segments on “Living It Up with Patti Labelle” on cable TV One USA, NTA Nigeria, and The Philadelphia Mural Arts Program documentary “Beautifying Schools Transforming Lives”, The Art Institute of Philadelphia - Guest Artist, The Philadelphia Museum of Art - Guest Artist. A lead artist at the Philadelphia Mural Art Program, and WHYY TV presentation in the United States. His works are published nationally and internationally. Publications include: “Nigeria Artists: A Who’s Who and a Bibliography” published by the National Museum for African Art Library, Smithsonian Institution Library Branch, Washington DC, by Bernice M. Kelly and Janet L. Stanley in 1991. ADEC “Guide to African Arts” by the Association Dialogue Entre Les Cultures, in Paris France1992.
