Born November 9, 1932 in the village of Rozovets, Plovdiv region. Encho Pironkov is a distinctive Bulgarian artist, with no formal art education. One of the artists from the so called "Plovdiv School from the 60ies", with main topics including the old city of Plovdiv, the village life, the April Rebellion. Also works in the areas of applied monumental art and scenic decoration. Author of more than 10 one-man shows in Plovdiv, Sofia, Berlin, Bologna, Budapest, Warsaw, Dresden, Cologne, Leipzig. His works are property of the National Art Gallery, state-owned and private galleries in Bulgaria and private galleries in USA, Austria, Spain, Denmark, Mexico, Japan, France, Germany.
