Dmitry Alexandrovich Nikashin was born in 1968 in Moscow Russia. He already showed interest in art at the age of four. He started to take private lessons at the age of eleven from a local Russian artist. After high school he moved to Penza, (another city) to study fine art at the Technikon, which specializes in traditional "old" art forms. After successfully completing his studies, he went to military service at the nuclear missile division, west of Russia. Two years later he took part in many art exhibitions in Moscow. Sudden changes in Russia provided opportunity to travel. Never ending beauty of nature landscapes took him throughout many places such as the most northern and southern parts of Russia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Namibia and South Africa.
