Catherine Zakas a Greek-American was born on the Island of Euboia, Greece. She studied painting at the Heidelberg College of Art, and in Berlin, she continued her studies in Rhode Island. She has shown her work in group and numerous individual shows in Greece, Germany, and in the United States in Rhode Island, Texas, New Mexico and Washington D.C.
