Arthur Revington studied at the Art Students League and with Arshile Gorky in New York City, and was influenced by the emerging modernist movement. From 1956 to the early 1990s, he taught at the Summer School of Chautaugua Brooklyn Museum of Art, eventually becoming head of the department.
