An accomplished colourist, Alfred Stockham studied at Camberwell, and the Royal College of Art after six years in the Royal Navy. He taught fine art at Bristol Polytechnic from 1968, finishing as Head of Fine Art 1987-88. His work has been extensively exhibited in London and the West Country, and his work has appeared regularly at the Royal Academy and Royal West of England Academy Summer and Autumn Exhibitions.
