Song Zhengyin , a native of Wu Xi, Jiang Su Province. Song graduated from Art Dept of Nipon University, Tokyo in Sept, 1944. He was professor in Shanghai Art Academy and Suzhou Art Academy (Shanghai Branch), professor and dept dean of Nation An Hui University and professor of the Art Dept of Nanjing Normal University. In 1980, he became director for the Chinese Science Popularization Writers’ Committee, as well as becoming board chairman for its Jiang Su branch. In his later years, he took the position of postgraduate instructor in Western Art History at Nanjing Normal University. Exhibitions in which Song has participated include “The annual Tokyo Art Gallery Expo”, “The Shanghai Youth League Oil Painting Expo” and “The Jiangsu Art Museum Oil Painting Expo”. He has also exhibited in a number of National Art exhibitions in various provinces and cities. In recogniion of his talents, Song has been accredited with numerous gold, silver and bronze awards in China, as well as the coveted academy award from Nippon University. Publications in which his works can be found include: “Jiangsu’s Science Popularization Art”; “Jiang Su Art Magazine”( April ed. 1981); “The New Flower in Art Area-The Creativity of Science Popularization Art''; “Science Popularization” (4th Issue, 1981).
