Condition:
a good, strong impression of this unrecorded print, trimmed to or close to the subject, retaining a fillet of blank paper outside the borderline in most places, a small repair in a blank area at the right sheet edge, a horizontal central fold mainly visible verso, some minor creases and soiling, a small worm hole to the knee of the second rider at left, generally in good condition

P. Mariette, 1699 (L. 1790), with his signature in brown ink verso and probably inscribed by his hand Lutte romain a mantoue dans le pallais du the en sculpture.
