Study For Le Bateau Qui Passe
Materials:
oil on canvas laid on board
Measurements:
14.17 in. (36.00 cm.) (height) by 11.42 in. (29.00 cm.) (width)
Markings:
bears signature lower left
Condition:
The canvas has been fully lined on a board which appears to be flat, even, and ensuring a stable support. The paint surface could benefit from some light surface clean. There is some scattered, hairline craquelure, with some associated spots of paint loss, in the lower right corner. Some pin-head sized spots of paint loss are also visible in the girl's skirt and leg. Inspection under ultra-violet light reveals fluorescence in the signature and some spots of retouching addressing the aforementioned paint loss in the lower right corner. Overall, this work is in good condition
