Condition:

The canvas is unlined. The edges are taped. The surface is richly textured. Accretions of dust in the deep crevices of the impasto, most notably in the palm tree's foliage. Areas of craquelure visible in the white pigments of the central sailboat and in the thick impasto of the palm trees, notably in the foliage which is depicted along the upper right edge of the picture. Two areas of fine craquelure in the sky area at the upper left edge and the upper edge at center right. Under UV light: no inpainting apparent, but a thick layer of varnish obscures a closer reading. This work is in good condition. Framed: 44 by 60? in. (112 by 153 cm.)
