Materials:

Pen and brown ink and three shades of grey wash, within original brown ink framing lines

Measurements:

15.00 in. (38.10 cm.) (height) by 21.65 in. (55.00 cm.) (width)

Markings:

heightened with touches of (partly oxidised) white over black chalk

Condition:

Laid down. Overall in very good condition. There is a faint vertical crease running through the centre of the sheet, this is a result of the paper drying process. There is a very tiny tear at the upper right corner of the sheet. The white heightening has oxidised in places. In general the pen and ink and wash is vibrant and strong and the overall image is powerful.
