Visible in raking light are a few faint linear abrasions in the lower right quadrant. There are a few deposits of very subtle original retouching to the right of the raised arm. On the mount are a few pin-point-sized deposits of indeterminate origin. There is minor margin wear. The lower left corner is bumped. On the reverse, there are tape remnants along the edges. Some paper remnants, possibly old labels, are at the upper edge. At the upper right corner 'Paris' is written in pencil, possibly in the artist's hand; it is partially obscured with tape. '22' is written in pencil in an unidentified hand. Tape along the lower edge may cover the artist's address, written in ink. The reverse is faintly soiled.
